City of ChicagoThe City of Chicago Department of Public Health leads CGHI as part of its effort to reduce environmental hazards and ensure access to health care for all Chicagoans. The CGHI supports the Department's Healthy Chicago Agenda, supporting hosptials' ability to provide access to care, as well as strengthening the city's health infrastructure in mitigating and preparing for the effects of climate change.

An international not-for-profit organization that works to significantly reduce the amount of greenhouse gasses and pollution created by the healthcare sector. CGHI is part of Health Care Without Harms efforts to support healthcare facilities around the country with a Healthy Hospital Initiative.

Through its Climate Showcase Communities program, seeks to create replicable models for greenhouse gas reductions that catalyze broader local actions to improve environmental, economic, health, and social conditions. EPA's Energy Star and Waste Wise Programs along with from Region 5 technical experts also support the initiative.
