PJM Frequency Regulation Program Overview

Kellen Bellettino from Comverge presented on the PJM program. He also offered to run a WebEx for those who were unable to attend the meeting. Contact the CGHI Team for additional information.

  • Payments of $85,000 per MW with 100% compliance.
    • Approximately $8,500 for every 100kw in frequency regulation (minimum participation of 100kw).
  • This program works inside your current VFD set points.
    • Hospitals control through BAS/SCADA
    • Free analysis of VFD Interval Data to find best fit for program.
  • Pilot program suggested to start analysis of 7-10 VFD's to note the operating potential of Hospital equipment.
  • No out of pocket costs for analysis and implementation.  
  • Potential to reduce PLC through real-time operating knowledge.
