Panel on Antibiotics Overuse in Livestock: July 24th

Antibiotic overuse has resulted in carefully structured antibiotic stewardship programs and prescription guidelines in health care and hospitals. Yet, 80 % of antibiotics sold today are for food animal agriculture. Learn what classes of antibiotics are used sub therapeutically on the farm and how this practice breeds antibiotic resistant bacteria and what you can do to make a difference.

Please join us for a special lunch panel at the Gleacher Center in Chicago to highlight and share information regarding the significant public health threat of antibiotic overuse for food animal production and how hospitals and clinicians can influence change through procurement practices, food choices, and knowledge. The event will begin at 11:15 AM on Wednesday, July 24.

Please RSVP by July 17 to saveantibiotics@pewtrusts.org

Remote participation is possible - please note if you won't be able to attend in person when you RSVP.
